The association Arch Hunting has received and published by the Presidency of the Republic the request for publication of an important auction notice. The administration has launched a public auction for the sale of live wild boars caught inside the Castel Porziano estate (twenty-ninth area of Rome in the Agro Romano) in the context of wildlife containment operations for the purpose of environmental rebalancing.
The deadline for receiving bids has been set at 12 noon on 2 July 2018, while the actual public auction will take place on 5 July at 16 pm at the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic. Castel Porziano is known as the estate of President of the Republic, but also for the presence of coastal ecosystems typical of the Mediterranean environment. As it emerged some time ago, it earns 40 thousand euros a year from the trade in ungulates.
Over time, the estate has relied on a hunting farm in Abruzzo active in meat transformation and ginal tasting. Wild boars can also cause damage to flora and fauna in this area and for this reason the catches and containments are not uncommon. Now we will have to wait a few more days (there are ten to be precise) before having more details on the auction and to understand in advance how it could take place.
