The Beccacciai d'Italia Association replies to the accusations that they would like to include it among the anti-hunting associations and specifies "Our studies serve to demonstrate the sustainability of hunting".
"We have heard the rumor that the" Beccacciai d'Italia "association wants to close the hunt, since it is extremely serious and false news, we would like to reiterate once again, and we hope it will be the last, the following: Our Association is made up of hunters who mainly hunt woodcock but not only, and fights every day to achieve exactly the opposite result, DON'T MAKE THE HUNT CLOSE. Our studies are aimed at demonstrating its sustainability if practiced on a scientific basis.
It is good to remind EVERYONE that only two years ago the hunting of woodcock throughout Europe risked total closure, and only thanks to the intervention of JP Bodoit, president of all the European associations of woodcocks gathered in the FANBPO and who also represents us. , we managed to counteract this decision by opposing all the scientific data that we hunters collect every year.
Sooner or later the same problem could arise for thrushes, quails, ducks, larks, etc., etc. This is why it is important that we hunters work together and united on projects with a scientific value.
The Beccacciai d'Italia association is committed every day to oppose the ISPRA which would like to shorten the hunting calendars more and more, perhaps even to December 31, this must be known by everyone because probably no one has the courage to say it publicly! So we encourage everyone to read up well before putting out rumors that can only harm the whole hunt.
The only hunt that can have a future, somehow accepted by a good number of people and by Europe is the Sustainable one, let's all roll up our sleeves and proceed together. Only by being united can we obtain concrete results to safeguard hunting.
