There are six days left to the expected conference entitled "Environment, Woodcock and Sustainable Hunting" which was organized by the association Beccacciai of Italy, from the Federation of National Associations of Woodcockers of the Western Palearctic (FANBPO) and from Woodcock Study Center in Veglie, in the province of Lecce. The venue chosen for the event will be that of Terra d'Arneo Cultural and Environmental Center (Municipal Library) in Via Damiano Chiesa, with free admission for everyone, enthusiasts and hunters.
The next 28 October will begin at 18 with the greetings of Cosimo During, number one of the Local Action Group (LAG) Terra d'Arneo. Immediately after it will be the turn of the speeches: the conference will be characterized by the presence of Giacomo Stifani, president ofTerritorial Hunting Area of Lecce, Giuseppe Raho (Federation of Direct Growers), Giuseppe Cucurachi (Italian Farmers Confederation), Salvatore Negro (Ekoclub) and other members of the Salento ATC.
That of the Beccacciai d'Italia is an association created to put the passion of the woodcock at the center of research and their hunting made of experience, observation and study. Its goal is to trace a precise identikit of the woodcock that passes and winters in Italy: the Centro Studi Beccaccia is an idea of the same association, a wildlife management tool for monitoring the species.
