Management and control plan
The Management Body of Protected Areas of Ticino and Lake Maggiore, established in 2009 by the Piedmont Region, announced that it is possible to forward the application to participate in the selections linked to the activities dictated by the "Plan for the management and demographic control of wild boar (Sus scrofa) populations". The attached and duly completed and signed forms must be forwarded to the certified e-mail address: [email protected] no later than 10 December 2023.
The necessary requirements
The mandatory requirements under penalty of exclusion to be admitted to the selection are:
1 To be in possession of a regular license to carry a rifle for hunting use with receipt of payment of the government and regional concession tax;
2 To be in compliance with the insurance for hunting, including wildlife control, in the required period;
3 Not to have incurred criminal or administrative sanctions for violation of the law
national and regional on hunting, use and possession of weapons and protection of the natural environment;
4 To be in possession of suitable basic technical equipment maintained in the correct state of efficiency;
5 To have successfully completed the course for selected operators for wild boar containment organized by the Piedmont region or one of its instrumental bodies; or to have
obtained equivalence after taking the course at another institution.
Selection Criteria
To maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the activities, the Authority defines a maximum number of 108 operators who will be divided based on territorial needs into the following 4 macro areas:
1. Bessa, Spina Verde, Carisio and Baragge of Biella for a maximum of 14 selected operators;
2. Lame del Sesia, Baragge of Vercelli for a maximum of 25 selected operators;
3. North Ticino (Castelletto Ticino, Bosco Solivo, Baragge Novaresi) for a maximum of 12
selected operators;
4. Ticino for a maximum of 57 selected operators.
