The medal finally arrived, perhaps not of the expected color, but it is still a respectable Olympic result: after five years, Diana Bacosi won silver in the Skeet at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, down a step from the podium after the gold obtained in Rio 2016. It could have been a confirmation of the most coveted title given that the 38-year-old from the Army was the protagonist of an exciting head to head with the American Amber English.
The difference was made by only one target, since English hit 56, while Bacosi 55. On the lowest step of the podium was placed the Chinese Wei. A native of Città della Pieve (Perugia), the shooter is trained by Andrew Benelli and can boast, in addition to the two Olympic medals, also gold, silver and bronze medals at the European and World Skeet Championships.
