Richiesta di informazioni
Arci Caccia, in recent days, met with the Ecological Transition sector of the Department of the Environment of the Tuscany Region. The meeting, requested by Arci Caccia Piombino and the Federation of Livorno, focused on a request for information about the Region's plans for the authorization to install photovoltaic systems on the ground in the Val di Cornia area.
Hunters alarmed
Arci Caccia is in favor of the development of renewable energy sources, but at the same time supports the fight against land consumption and the maintenance of traditional agricultural areas that, in addition to being a characteristic element of a landscape that everyone envies us, ensure agricultural production and the maintenance of an important share of biodiversity. For this reason, the insistent rumors about the installation of large photovoltaic fields in the Piombino area, in addition to alarming hunters, have also attracted our interest.
Landscape to be protected
The Regional Office for Ecological Transition, represented by Dr. Tei and Dr. Moroni, whom we thank for taking the time to listen to us, gave ample reassurances on the Region's desire to protect the territory and landscape of Tuscany, reconciling the production of clean energy with the expectations of local communities, with whom, we were assured, there will be continuous dialogue. We can only declare ourselves satisfied with this first meeting, the beginning of a monitoring that we will maintain constantly on this topic (source: Arci Caccia Toscana).
