Tracing Dogs: The Course for Dog Conductors for Tracing Dogs starts in Loc. Torsoni (FI).
The section of the province of Florence of the Fidc, the Italian hunting federation, has launched a course for the training of new track dog handlers. The course, which costs € 80, will be held this weekend from Friday 19th March to Sunday 21st March. The location of the course is the Fratelli Travaglini farm located in Torsoli (Lucolena - Greve in Chianti - Florence).
During the theoretical lessons in the classroom we will try to give the most important information relating to the history of the track dog and its evolution. The essential characteristics of specialized trace dog breeds but also of the generic ones recognized by the FCI, the International Cynological Federation, will also be studied in depth.
During the practical lessons, which will take place strictly outdoors, there will be the opportunity to observe various demonstrations of the dog's work. The practical lessons, however, also have the purpose of explaining in as much detail as possible how a puppy dog from trace should be chosen and what are the best methods to raise and train him.
We remind you that meals and handouts are also included in the course price. At the end of the course, a certificate of qualification as a track dog handler will be issued.
