A joint initiative of ENPA and Opel to facilitate the mobility of travelers who want to take their pet with them on vacation.
ENPA, the National Animal Protection Authority - Onlus, and the car manufacturer Opel together for a joint initiative aimed at facilitating the mobility of travelers who want to bring their four-legged friends to their holiday resorts.
Almost six million dogs live in the homes of our countrymen; according to a Doxa survey, there are four million Italians who do not want to part with their "friend" even during the summer holidays and who in the coming weeks will go to holiday resorts with their pet.
"Facilitating the mobility of Italians and pets is therefore not only an essential necessity, but also a valid tool to prevent the terrible scourge of abandonment and straying", declared Marco Bravi, Head of Communication and Development of Enpa, in occasion of the press conference to present the new Enpa-Opel partnership, which took place today in Rome at the Casa del Cinema.
“In recent years, significant progress has been made in terms of“ four-legged ”travel. I am thinking, for example, of the growing availability of accommodation facilities to welcome pets - continued Bravi - also promoted by the Enpa website www.vacanzebestiali.org. However, much remains to be done, especially on the side of mobility which, unlike what happens in other countries, still has too many limits to the free movement of pets ”.
And it is precisely for this reason that the National Animal Protection Authority has enthusiastically joined the Opel Combo project which, calibrated to the particular transport needs of our "friends" also through special fittings, has been certified by ENPA as the ideal means of travel. with pets.
"I thank Opel not only for having taken into consideration the needs of pets and their owners - concluded Bravi -, but also for having concretely supported the institutional activities of Animal Protection in this operation by providing us with some models of the vehicle, the which, I am sure, will prove to be very valuable for the daily work of our volunteers ”.
