Another investment and once again a wolf who loses his life and is found on the side of the road. One specimen was invested in Val di Non between Romallo and Cloz and was found in the last hours along the road. This is the umpteenth wolf who loses his life. In fact, in recent weeks, there have been so many who have died from various types of investments. On 19 December a female was hit by a train south of Mezzocorona station, on November 5th it happened to a two-three-year-old she-wolf on the ring road in Trento and on 17 November it was the turn of a young male of 6-7 months near the Speccheri locality in Vallarsa.
And then again on November 24 an accident (not fatal this time) occurred in Trambileno with a specimen hit by a car and the animal which then moved away, while on 25 November a three-year-old male wolf was hit and killed by an ambulance north of Serravalle all'Adige. Accidents are becoming more frequent in this period for two reasons: on the one hand, as explained by the Province in the case of past investments, the lowering of the wild ungulates typical of this season, it probably also determines a lowering of wolves, their natural predators. On the other hand there is an increase in specimens and in this phase the phenomenon of dispersion occurs especially of the young ones they disengage from the herd and go in search of their "spaces" (The Dolomites).
