The general plant has remained almost unchanged compared to that of the previous year, the only novelty concerns the red partridge and gray partridge which can be hunted starting from 20 September, instead of only in October.
The opening of the hunt is set for Sunday 20 September 2009, for the species indicated in regional calendar and, like every year, the closing date is 31 January 2010.
The opening is foreseen on 2 and 6 September 2009, from stalking, for the following species: dove, wood pigeon, magpie, hooded crow and jay. The dove hunt ends on December 28th, the wood pigeon hunt opens the 23 September 2009 and ends on 31 January 2010.
"The urgency of convening a provincial council to publish the hunting calendar in time for the opening of the hunt - explained the president Yeah that the delegation to Hunting and Fishing was held - it did not allow us to carry out the necessary investigations to make improvements to a general approach, which I still consider valid and which I decided, for this reason, to keep standing. On the part of the Province, as I have already anticipated to the hunting associations in recent days, there is the will to establish a permanent discussion table on the main issues related to hunting, also in consideration of the importance that hunting plays for a balanced and careful management of the territory ".
"The general layout of this hunting calendar - said the provincial councilor Laura Cutini in the explanation of vote - find our share. The abstention of the minority arises from the fact that some of our requests for amendment, raised during the discussion, were not accepted. In particular, we believe it appropriate that the pre-opening to the wood pigeon be abrogated, we want the proprogation of the pheasant hunting period and, as suggested by the councilor Covitto, that the woodcock can also be hunted in marshy areas, where in any case wandering hunting is already allowed. We asked that our position be recorded in the minutes ”.
President Marras specified that: "The decision to maintain the previous hunting calendar takes into account scientific evaluations and was made in the general interest".
