In the first days of January, in the final part of the hunting season, in the various ATC Tuscany the operations of capture and re-entry of the animals belonging to the species will take place regularly pheasant and hare in the territory for planned hunting and in areas suitable for the species. The operations will take place within the public wildlife institutes (ZRC, ZRV) which following specific censuses during the 2021, have been included in the respective catch plans drawn up by the individual ATCs, and approved by the competent regional offices. In the individual authorization deeds, in addition to the identification of the methods for capturing garments reproduced in the natural state, (presence of a supervisory agent referred to in art. 51 who will coordinate the volunteer staff after remote booking on the regional computer system zerogis), the periods for carrying out these activities are also established.
The interventions of capture and re-entry for the hare species will have to be completed by 15/02/2022, while for the pheasant species that of 28/02/2022 is established. Despite the difficulties generated by the pandemic and the growing decrease in financial resources for ATCs, thanks to the activity of many volunteers who work within public wildlife institutes, in many territorial realities of the ATC Tuscany, good wildlife management continues to move forward. Our commitment will be to strengthen the role and function of public structures starting from the choices and contents of the new PLEASE, and consequently from economic investments in favor of biodiversity that can be activated with the future RDP and also following the innovations introduced in the recent reform of the CAP.
For some time now we have been witnessing a growing crisis of noble sedentary game, which can be stemmed and reversed only by putting in place innovative policies and investments favored by a new pact between hunters and farmers aimed at generating environmental biodiversity and compatible agricultural practices, to be developed above all within public and private wildlife institutes vocations to address species (Source: CCT).
