A hunt not to be stopped
Animal rights activists are trying to stop the selection hunt forGiglio Island. The Control Room writes to the President of the Region and to the Councilor Saccardi. The associations of the Tuscan control room want to express their opposition to the possible stop to the selection hunt for mouflon on the island of Giglio.
Great astonishment
The rumor that has reached us leaves us amazed, in fact, this form of hunting is notoriously the safest and most sustainable method of managing these ungulates. For this reason we ask the Region, given the favorable opinion issued even by Ispra, to proceed with the sampling plan, without listening to animal welfare sirens that have nothing to do with science and good management (The Associations Members of the Control Room of Tuscany : Arcicaccia, Enalcaccia, Italcaccia and Liberacaccia of Tuscany).
A current issue
The topic has become very topical in recent days, in conjunction with the new updates made available by the Tuscan Archipelago Park on the current condition of the ungulate.
