Investment in the project
Since 2017 theItalian Shooting Union has established the project “Accademia del tiro”, born with the intent of helping the kids in their sporting and scholastic growth during the delicate years of training and giving them the opportunity to be followed throughout the week, with particular attention to both scholastic and sporting performance. Given the success of past editions, the Italian Shooting Union has decided to intensify its investment in the project, in consideration of the sporting and scholastic results obtained by the group of admitted athletes: in fact, all of them have achieved a better individual performance than in previous years.
Unique shooting ranges
It was also decided to confirm the Bolzano area, since this area has shooting facilities that are unique in Italy, which meet the requirements and standards required by the International Shooting Federation (ISSF), and at the moment to limit registration to student-athletes of the rifle specialty. This is due to the functionality of the facilities and the current availability of federal technicians. Having said all this, it is noted that the economic coverage of the project allows to maintain a maximum of 6 (six) the number of girls and boys participating in the project who, as in previous school years, will have the possibility of remaining on site even on weekends.

Admission to the Academy
In consideration of the extension of the junior category, student-athletes in the year following their high school diploma (in any case, junior category 2025-2026) can also apply for admission to the academy, provided that they are enrolled in a university faculty in person and/or online and for this reason monitored and evaluated in order to receive the expected scholarships (fixed quotas) and also with board and lodging at their own expense-research-management, as they no longer fall within the age group of the affiliated boarding school (source: UITS).
