There is no more time to waste in defending the interests of the Umbrian community solidly established in rural areas. It is the task of hunting associations - and not only - to take charge of it, to have a function to recompose the cultural clash that too often derives from the "urban", sometimes uninformed and "manipulable" approach to life in the countryside, traditions, customs historically settled in villages, small towns and marginal territories. The experience of the pandemic pushes, at a global level, to migrations towards rural realities where the density of the populations favors a natural preventive distancing.
We need to be ready to welcome and educate "migrants" to land management problems and, in our specific, to wildlife management, predation between wild species and the irreplaceable role of man in ensuring balance and coexistence between species. As with all volunteering, you need to separate the right popular passion of hunters and their hunting traditions that are and will be part of the Atc, from the interventions of wildlife control that can only have as a reference the entire regional agro-forestry-pastoral territory so as to keep ungulates at "right distance" from urban centers, today in particular the wild boar species, which can transmit dangerous infections for other species, risks for road safety and considerable damage to agriculture.
The proposals The meat of the animals collected will be sent to collection centers with the aim of enhancing their use for a healthy and quality market. Here and now theArci Caccia dell'Umbria he believes that the synthesis of the contents that we propose and that have been in "sleep" in dusty archives for some time, need to be concretized. These will be themes that we will also relaunch in our congress so that they become heritage of the hunting world that will have to overcome fundamentalist and corporate logics that have already lost and are extinguishing hunters and their social function (The Regional President of Arci Caccia Umbria, Emanuele Bennati).
