The President of the Umbria Region, Donatella Tesei, has signed an ordinance that allows Umbrian hunters to move outside their municipality, in the days of Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 January, to carry out wildlife control and hunting activities, in compliance with hunting regulations and social distancing measures and anti-covid prevention. This is what is announced by the regional councilor for hunting, Roberto Morroni. The regional ordinance provides that “on the days of 9 and 10 January 2021 it is allowed to move outside the municipality of residence, domicile or home:
● for the control activities of the wildlife authorized by the regional administration;
● for the exercise of the hunting activity in the territorial hunting area of hunting residence or registration, including hunting from a fixed position, and all activities complementary to hunting and control, such as, for example, the training and training of dogs, the recovery of injured ungulates and the transport and treatment of carcasses to the appropriate collection centers, in compliance with sector regulations;
● for hunting within the wildlife-hunting companies and agri-tourism hunting companies, as authorized by the concessionaire of the company, in compliance with the sector regulations ".
The provision is limited "only to residents of Umbria by birth date and exclusively within the regional administrative borders and, therefore, hunting activities or control activities are not allowed for hunters and qualified and authorized subjects with registered residence outside the administrative borders of the Umbria Region, even in the case of domicile or residence within the regional territory ". The movements and the exercise of all hunting and control activities "must take place in compliance with the measures of social distancing and with the use of the required personal protective equipment ".
