Events and meetings in Bastia Umbra
UNA Foundation - Man, Nature, Environment – returns to Caccia Village, the leading hunting fair, scheduled for May 16-18 in Bastia Umbra, at Umbriafiere. In a context that annually attracts the hunting community of Central and Southern Italy, UNA's presence confirms itself as a concrete opportunity for discussion, listening, and learning around a vision of hunting based on responsibility, awareness, and protection of the local environment. Over the course of the three days, the UNA Foundation stand will host events and meetings with industry experts, designed to deepen the debate on hunting today: from the social role of the hunter to wildlife management, from theoretical and practical training for new licenses to attention to the well-being of hunting dogs. This framework will also feature the stories of the daily commitment of the UNA Foundation Ambassadors, the Paladins of the Territory, and the contributions of local hunting associations.
The appointments in detail
Here is the detailed calendar of events of the UNA Foundation:
At 11:30 on Saturday, May 16, "Safeguarding the Territory: Ambassadors and Champion of Environmental Protection," with some of the most talented representatives of Central and Southern Italy, who will share their experiences;
At 15:00 PM on the same day, in "Communicating Hunting. Face to Face with Andrea Cavaglià," a conversation between Marina Berlinghieri, Head of Institutional Relations at the UNA Foundation, and the social media icon who is inspiring new generations of hunters by describing hunting with ethics and respect;

Following this, at 14:30 pm, Antonella Labate will discuss conservation and land management in the talk "The Wild Heart of Umbria: Best Practices for Understanding and Managing Small Sedentary Wildlife." This event is designed for those new to hunting and looking to acquire useful tools for understanding the landscape and its wildlife, thanks also to the methodological and scientific contributions of Federcaccia's Wildlife and Agro-Environmental Studies and Research Office.
The closing event, at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 18, will feature "Biodiversity in the Field: Operational Synergy Between Hunters and Technicians for Land Management," a joint reflection by Antonella Labate and Marina Berlinghieri, reiterating how collaboration between different skills is essential for effective wildlife management today.
Show cooking
The whole thing will be enriched by a program of show-cooking and sensory tastings, created in collaboration with Gusto Selvatico APS, which will come to life in the Wild Arena, outside pavilion 8:

At 14:30 pm there will be a “Small wild tasting”, curated by Chef Stefano Marinucci, Fondazione UNA and Franchi Food Academy;

This will once again be the space where hunting culture meets culinary culture, through a narrative of the wild meat supply chain that combines education and tasting, all while maintaining a sustainable approach. Making this presence even more significant will be the first-ever food truck organized by the UNA Foundation, designed as a meeting place for people to discover and showcase the traveling culinary heritage of wild meats.
Dialogue with the hunting world
"Trade fairs aren't just showcases, but places where a community recognizes itself, questions itself, and builds its future. For Fondazione UNA, being at Caccia Village means presiding over a strategic space for relationships, where the hunting world can renew dialogue with its stakeholders—associations, institutions, local organizations, the agricultural sector, the food supply chain, technicians, and communicators—and strengthen the "cloud" of alliances that makes our vision more solid, credible, and contemporary. It is on occasions like this that hunting can reveal itself for what it truly is: a practice that thrives on expertise, culture, care for local areas, and responsibility toward communities," said Maurizio Zipponi, President of Fondazione UNA. It is with this in mind that Fondazione UNA continues to invest in places of discussion and participation, fostering connections, listening, and shared planning. A journey that looks beyond the calendar and, leveraging the quality of relationships built over time, aims to consolidate a broad and authoritative vision of the hunting world, in its connection to the territories and communities that inhabit them.
