Lots of projects and commitment
The first of the events for 2024, the European Outdoor Show (EOS) was held a few days ago in Verona, a meeting place for all professionals and enthusiasts of hunting, shooting, fishing and boating. A precious opportunity, however UNA Foundation, to consolidate relationships (and open new conversations) with the public of the fair, presenting the projects in which it is involved, aimed at enhancing the figure of the modern hunter, towards Paladin of the Territory, and at protecting the future of sustainable hunting activity .
Game at Veronafiere
After the success of the 2023 edition, Fondazione UNA has decided to bring game to EOS 2024 too, presenting a rich calendar of tastings, show-cooking and moments of dialogue in collaboration with Gusto Selvatico APS, whose objective, like that of the Foundation , is to raise public awareness of the importance of valorising the game meat supply chain. Presented by Alessandro Benatti, Frédérique Roux and Annalisa Renzi, the show-cooking moments saw the participation of various chefs and experts, and were introduced by Renata Briano and Antonella Labate, respectively President and Councilor of the Scientific Committee of Fondazione UNA. Two of these moments saw the active participation of the Federcaccia Hunters' Coordination and the FIdC Young Hunters Group.
Special awards
This year too, the EOS days were the opportunity to reward the winners of the Digital Race, the UNA Foundation project created with the aim of involving university students in the development of innovative project ideas for the conservation and management of wildlife . In 2023, 11 different working groups participated, coming from universities across Italy. As a Foundation, we renew our congratulations to the authors of the Proserpina Project of the University of Parma, first classified for the three-year degree course, and to the Tre Tuscettieri of the University of Tuscia, first for the master's degree course and winners also of the Social Prize (source: UNA Foundation).
