While in Greece, at the Malakasa Shooting Range, the Italian Trap team will be busy with the last targets of the ISSF World Championship, in Italy the specialists of the queen discipline will close the third weekend of October with the penultimate competition of the 2025 competitive season: the Regions TrophyThe event will be hosted by the Tav Cascata delle Marmore (TR) on Sunday, October 19th. Each region may field only one team of six athletes, selected by their respective Regional Delegates. The team must comply with the competition program: four shooters from the Excellence, First, Second, and Third categories, and two additional members chosen from the Veteran or Master and Junior or Lady categories. Athletes from the Italian Senior Olympic Trap Teams are not permitted to participate in the competition under any circumstances.
A total of 600 plates
Competitors will compete over a distance of 100 clays each, for a total of 600 clays per regional team. Each team will have access to the same range to shoot their targets. After the regular clays, the final ranking will be determined by aggregating the scores achieved by each athlete. The total will be compared with those of the other teams, and in the event of a tie, a tiebreaker will be held as per the rules.
Mandatory requirements
A mandatory requirement for all athletes is the use of uniform attire, which allows the Coordinator to identify each shooter as belonging to their regional team. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in the disqualification of the entire team before the start of the competition. The three regions that reach the podium will win the Trophy, medals, the Italian flag, and a substantial prize pool. The final meeting of the 2025 season with the Federal Structure is scheduled for November 15th at the Tav Roma (source: FITAV).
