La Valle d'Aosta officially has a reformed hunting law. As reported by Aosta Evening, the Bill was approved with 25 votes in favor, one against and 6 abstentions from Valle Council: these are important changes to the text and which concern the protection and the wildlife management, in addition to the discipline of hunting. The reform refers specifically to the Regional Law number 64 of 1994 and aims to make current spending more rational, to promote hunting in the Aosta Valley, but also to make it easier sanctioning model.
As explained by rapporteur David Follien, the daily hunting permit, without forgetting the annual card and the reduction in the share of the proceeds of the regional concession tax for hunting activities. The regulatory process started in 2014, while this year it had suffered a sharp slowdown.
The amendment was designed specifically for a sector that involves around 1400 Aosta Valley citizens. Renzo Testolin, Councilor for Agriculture and Natural Resources, also wanted to express his opinion on the reform. According to his thinking, local hunting had to be regulated again, in particular to meet the needs raised by society and the environment.
