Ravenna, October 5. Interpellations filed in the Region and Parliament. There is controversy over the chronicity of degradation. "The slaughter of the Valle della Canna could have been avoided." To say this, in a joint note, are the two regional councilors of the League Andrea Liverani and Massimiliano Pompignoli joined by the Hon. Jacopo Morrone and the candidate of the Carroccio for the next regional Lucia Borgonzoni. “It is not the first time that hunting associations raise the issue of poor management of the area.
But it wasn't enough. The sufficiency with which this administration has treated the subject is so profound that the result is what is presented to us before our eyes. Hundreds of dead ducks and the real danger of compromising the reproduction of the species and the delicate balance of the marsh ecosystem. Not to mention the health dangers that could be triggered by the contamination of the water dictated by avian botulism which, moreover, has already seriously mortgaged the fish fauna.
The problem is that the Valley has been gradually abandoned by those who should have treated it, with the result being transformed into a real environmental dump, with putrid waters and proliferation of toxins. " For the Northern League there are no doubts as to who allowed all this: “once upon a time the Valley was entrusted to the management of hunters who took care of the recycling of the water, the reclamation and the pruning of the vegetation. However, since the area passed into the 'hands' of the Municipality and under the supervision of the Emilia-Romagna Region, the situation has degenerated. It is therefore clear that those who had to act preferred to be idle and those who had to check closed their eyes. To answer for this disaster, therefore, can only be both administrations ”.
