Hunting: Veneto, 2014-2015 Hunting Calendar approved by the Council; satisfied Stival, “A balanced calendar that respects the laws and rights of hunters. In the past, appeals have always been defeated ”.
The Regional Council of Veneto, in its session yesterday, 24 June 2014, on the proposal of the Councilor for Hunting Daniele Stival, approved the 2014-2015 Hunting Calendar, after completing the planned process, after consulting the Provinces and acquiring the opinion of Ispra. The general opening is set for 21 September 2014, closing on 31 January 2015. The calendar also includes 5 pre-opening days on 1, 6, 7, 13 and 14 September, days in which blackbirds can be hunted. , turtledove, jay, magpie, hooded crow and hooded crow (on September 1st and 7th, wood pigeon hunting is allowed). The calendar generally indicates the species allowed for collection and the relative hunting periods; the number of weekly hunting days, which cannot exceed 3 with the possibility of free choice of the hunter, with the exception of Tuesdays and Fridays, with an integration of 2 days only for hunting migratory stalking fauna in the months of October and November; the maximum daily and seasonal game bag, the start and end time of the hunting day.
"Also this year - underlines Stival - a very accurate work has been done, from which a balanced calendar arises, respectful at the same time of the sacrosanct needs of hunters who pay fine taxes to practice their passion, of national and community regulations, of safeguarding environmental. It is - adds Stival - an activity deeply rooted in the history and tradition of Veneto, which our enthusiasts always exercise with attention and respect and which also constitutes an important economic sector as a commodity sector ".
"I remind the most distracted - adds Stival - that the setting given by the Region to the calendar was in the past, even last year, the subject of countless appeals to the TAR, but always ended with the promotion of regional choices, which shows how work with attention and respect for the laws. I hope that this year the deluge of stamped papers and legal fees that annually accompanies this provision can be avoided. I have full respect for the opinions of those against - concludes Stival - but I would like the 'battle', if it has to take place, to be based on common sense, reasonableness and respect for mutual interests ”.
