Bruno Campagnoli, number one of the Federcaccia of Verbania-Cusio-Ossola, has decided to write to the provincial and regional offices that deal with hunting to express all his doubts on the recent note of the Provincial Police relative touse of the helicopter in hunting. The police body has decided to ban the use of this aircraft for the transport, recovery and movement of hunters, in addition to the recovery of the wild killed.
The hunting association has doubts about the prohibition relating to culled animals. In fact, Campagnoli understood the provision concerning the transport of people, but not the one on the recovery of dead animals, since they would be two completely different situations. A regional law distinguishes the two transports, accordingly the decision of the Provincial Police is not included.
The regulatory text refers to theHeliski (transport of skiers), consequently the regulation would have to do with the practice of skiing and not with the transport of things. Among other things, several deer were transported by helicopter in Valsesia and in Val di Susa, which is why Federcaccia is thinking of a different treatment reserved for hunters from the various provinces. Now replies are awaited from the competent bodies to clarify the situation once and for all.
