Swazi is a famous hunting and outdoor clothing brand founded more than 25 years ago by Davey Hughes. The clothing is manufactured in Levin, New Zealand. In 2020 Swazi became the exclusive clothing sponsor of the popular Wild Boar Fever series, produced by MyOutdoorTV (MOTV).
Among the garments intended for boar hunting lovers, the new Wild Vest stands out, a high visibility windproof vest, which appeared for the first time in the latest series of Wild Boar Fever.
It is a windproof, water-repellent and highly breathable 3-layer softshell. The outer fabric is a woven polyester, internally lined with fleece to ensure warmth and comfort. It features four pockets, including two handwarmer pockets on the hips and two chest pockets with waterproof zips. The two side pockets are very large and suitable for holding additional magazines, radios and all the equipment useful for the harness. The bottom of the vest is adjustable with drawstring.
The Wild Vest features a contoured high collar for added protection from wind and cold. Being designed for hunting where safety is essential, the vest is only available in high visibility orange.
At the front, precisely laterally to the left chest pocket, the Swazi logo and writing embroidered on a black background stand out, while at the back we find the Swazi logo and brand in the upper central part and a small logo in the lower portion above the drawstring.

There is a Wild Vest WBF (Wild Boar Fever) version which differs from the classic for the presence of the WBF logo both front and rear. I had the opportunity to test the vest in several outings, even in rather harsh weather. I can confirm the comfort and warmth promised by the New Zealand house. The fabric, despite being very resistant, follows the movements well, avoiding the feeling of "clumsiness" that you get when wearing multiple layers. The finishes and seams are of high quality, and evoke durability and resistance to trauma. The generosity of the two side pockets does not make you regret the absence of a back bag. The only small limitation is the absence of a double slider for the zip.
