Close encounter
A 92-year-old man ended up in the hospital in conditions deemed serious (red code) after being bitten and attacked by a wild boar near his home in San Giovanni del Dosso, in the province of Mantua. According to the reconstruction, the old man's dog had been barking for some time and the 92-year-old allegedly tried to calm him down. The ungulate would appear suddenly, leaving no escape for the victim.
The intervention of family members
The dog's barking unnerved the game which then hit the man in full, biting him in several places while he was on the ground. The transport to the nearest hospital took place by helicopter rescue. Fortunately, the 92-year-old's family members intervened and put the boar to flight.
An increasingly serious emergency
Unfortunately they have not avoided the most serious injuries, those to an arm and leg, for the moment the prognosis remains reserved. This is yet another episode that confirms how this emergency is serious and should not be underestimated in any way, given that not only agriculture is at risk but also the safety of private citizens.
