The wild boar emergency that is affecting a small fraction of Alghero, Maristella, made the decision to intervene Borgata Committee. As reported by Buongiornoalghero.it, in fact, after having reported several times the damage caused by wildlife to things, gardens, farmland and people, now we need to raise our voices. The solutions adopted in the past have not been effective, in particular the oases and areas within the Porto Conte park, so much so that the Maremma wild boar and fallow deer still represent a danger for local crops.
According to the Sardinian committee, it is necessary to introduce the hunting procedure with the hunt system, through the control by forest agents and including the whole territory of the Nurra. The measure is considered extraordinary, but also useful for drastically limit the number of wild boars which are present in the area. However, it must be said that the new capture and killing plan prepared for the park has not been approved by theISPRA, a conditioning that has not been digested at all.
According to what was established by the Institute, there would be no reports of damage by agricultural operators: in reality they stopped reporting when they realized they were never refunded after reportingdespite the expenses for practical education. Furthermore, the damages should be reported by the park itself to have a greater weight in statistical terms. This is certainly not the last chapter of this story.
