Next week's meeting
The City of Viterbo has decided to adopt a very particular solution regarding the wild boar emergency. The Viterbo 2020 councilor, Marco Nunzi, announced the meeting of a technical table for next May 27th, at which the Prefecture, Province, Police Headquarters and ASL of Rome will be present.
Animal killing
“We have considered a fairly bloody containment,” Nunzi informed, “but they told us to wait, because there are less invasive methods being tested, with darts containing sleeping pills and GPS, in any case it involves killing an animal,” he said the councilor who wanted to remember "the interventions made on urban decorum and on the dumping of waste on public land" by the Municipality.
Natural corridor
“There was a clear improvement in the problem of wild boars for the citizens who followed the directives by anchoring the tubs,” he continued, “We also cleaned the area of the Almirante ring road, where a natural corridor was created with the reserve of 'Archionello. With the municipal councilors, now also provincial, Maria Rita De Alexandris and Umberto di Fusco, we will follow the technical table in the Province to make sure of what the body is doing, the Municipality will intervene in a parallel manner".
