Christian Di Pietro, regional councilor of Molise with responsibility for hunting, reported the contents of the meeting set by Prefect of Isernia, Fernando Guida. The latter brought together the mayors of the municipalities of the province at the Government Palace, as well as representatives of the local agricultural sector for talk about wild boars and of the emergency represented by these ungulates. The territory was brought to its knees and first of all the Molise Region's commitment to tackling the problem was reaffirmed.
In practice the initiatives have been summarized which serve precisely to improve and reform the regional hunting world, in order to restore the balance of the wild population, which has now grown out of all proportion. To the president of the Conference of the Regions, Stefano Bonaccini, the main need of this moment was exposed, namely the reform of the national law on hunting, primarily the time limits imposed for hunting wild boar.
