Wild boar hunting with the braccata technique practiced on the Argentario. The phases of the hunted hunt consist of: 1) Initial Tracing, carried out early in the morning, to identify the footprints of the wild boars and to identify where they spent the night. On the basis of this information it is therefore possible to understand where the greatest concentration could be; 2) Arrangement of the posts on the side of the favorable wind; 3) Sending the beaters to the opposite side and encircling the area; 4) Start of the hunt. During the whole activity, the Beaters are accompanied by dogs, of different breeds, but the most suitable for hunting in pursuit is the Hound (even more suitable the Maremmano Hound). There is no lack of safety for this particular type of hunting, the precautions taken are many: The positioning of the hunters on the posts places the man in safety as he is elevated from the ground; Wearing of high visibility clothing; The beaters do not shoot at the wild boars and if this happens, they are equipped with blank cartridges; Only the hunters on the post shoot at the wild boars and furthermore, the inclination of the weapon and therefore of the aim on the animal, is always performed downwards (hitting towards the ground); Hunters shoot with carbines that have ammunition that do not bounce and are less dangerous as they do not risk hitting someone due to the rebound effect.
