Direct comparison with the Region
The top management of Coldiretti Abruzzo were received this morning at the headquarters in via Catullo by the Councillor for Agricultural Policies Imprudent Emanuele for a direct comparison on the problems related to the agricultural sector, following the demonstration of June 27, when a procession of thousands of farmers had marched in Pescara to ask for measures on the thorny "wild boar" issue.
The topics on the table
Three topics on the table of the discussion: the resolution on ungulates, the state of calamity following the drought events of spring-summer, the difficulties related to the requests for the allocation of agricultural diesel, in addition to the general crisis of the agricultural sector. Two hours of discussion that ended with the commitment of the councilor on the thorniest topic: damage from wild boars. "Tomorrow morning - announces the president of Coldiretti Abruzzo Pietropaolo Martinelli - the resolution that will go to the next council meeting to accept our requests will be signed.
A measure awaited for three decades
"The councilor's commitment was clear. He assured us that by the end of November we will have a measure that we have been waiting for thirty years - says the director of Coldiretti Abruzzo Roberto Rampazzo - at the end of June there were thousands of our members in the square still waiting for a concrete measure. The councilor was clear and finally gave us a date: in the next council meeting (presumably on November 26) the resolution will be approved by the council. But if things were to go differently in December we will take to the streets in front of the Region with a permanent sit-in". The meeting was also attended by the Director of the Department of Agriculture Elena Sico (source: Coldiretti Abruzzo).
