“Il new wild boar control plan 2022 which will be discussed shortly in the regional council foresees novelties that represent a very important result for the good of agricultural entrepreneurs and for all citizens ”. Nicola Bertinelli, regional president of Coldiretti Emilia Romagna, what emerged today from the meeting of the wildlife hunting table chaired by the councilor Alessio Mammi, in which the draft of the new PFV was presented which sees most of the requests from Coldiretti regarding the possibilities of self-defense on the part of farmers.
“We had asked for it in a loud voice on the occasion of the demonstration last 8 July", Continues Bertinelli" and now, in a draft that has already received the ok from Ispra (Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research), we read that farmers can provide self-defense against wild boars on their property or directly or, unless they have a hunting license, assisted by relatives, employees and people they trust ". Coldiretti Emilia Romagna also expresses its satisfaction for the measures which, taking into account the most recent provisions issued by the Constitutional Court regarding coadjutors, provide that their activity is considered as a public utility and that the list of these can be provided every five years unless changes are made and that, for the first time ever, the meat of the slaughtered wild boar remains the property of the owner of the company.
"A measure for which we have fought and that the Region has acknowledged ”concludes the regional director of Coldiretti Marco Allaria Olivieri“ and which goes in the direction of guaranteeing the defense of our productions more. A more concrete tool for the containment of these wild animals that have caused so much damage to farms, but have created and also create so many dangers for citizens ”.
