Coldiretti Molise requests the declaration of a state of emergency, throughout the region, for the damage caused by wild boars. Thus, on the day on which the Organization had called a regional demonstration to denounce to public opinion the very serious situation underway, postponed due to risks of coronavirus infection, Coldiretti launches a new and incisive initiative. "The uncontrolled and disproportionate increase in the number of wild boars in our territory - states the Confederal Delegate of Coldiretti Molise, Giuseppe Spinelli - has now become a real scourge so much for agriculture, and therefore for the regional economy, and for public safety. For this we have asked, with a letter, to all the mayors of the region to adopt a resolution to ask that a state of emergency is declared in the region".
"The hope is that the Mayors of Molise, who very often personally intervened to report the damage and dangers for citizens caused by wild boars on their municipal territory - explains Spinelli - also through the involvement of the regional ANCI, formally ask the regional government to declare a state of emergency throughout the Molise area in order to activate concrete extraordinary abatement plans, given the ineffectiveness of the tools proposed by theCouncilor for Agriculture, Nicola Cavaliere". These measures - continues Coldiretti Molise - "may be applied through the hunting guards employed by the Provinces and by other competent subjects, who can make use of the owners or tenants of the funds on which the same plans are implemented or of other persons, provided that all have a license for hunting, as well as forest and municipal guards ", all in accordance with the provisions of Article 29 of the Regional Law 10 August 1993, n. 19 and sme i. (LR n ° 1/2017 - point 29).
In addition to this, Coldiretti asks the mayors for support so that "all the measures of municipal competence, including contingent and urgent ones, aimed at hindering the spread of presence on the municipal territory of the wild boar species". “The situation is of such gravity - concludes Spinelli - that only with the declaration of a state of emergency will it be possible to curb a problem that no longer affects only agricultural businesses but the whole community. Road accidents, even fatal ones, assaults and raids by herds of wild boars are now the order of the day even in inhabited centers, as evidenced by the numerous press articles published in recent months. A no longer tolerable situation which the Region must absolutely and urgently remedy "(Primonumero.it).
The remedy is only one. The cal. 30/06. Day and night without stopping. With the papers, the bureaucracy and the stupid do-gooders of the environmentalists and animal rights activists, the wild boars will certainly not decrease.
