The statements of the Molise region about thewild boar emergency and to the hunt they pushed the Coldiretti to reply. According to the agricultural association, the problem is solved with a series of urgent measures, in particular through the synergy between hunters and farmers. Coldiretti reiterated the need for a withdrawal for 12 months a year and throughout the region, in addition to the possibility of control by farmers with a hunting license.
Furthermore, selection hunting alone is considered insufficient to face the emergency represented by ungulates. The primary sector must survive and the direct Molise farmers are of the idea of expanding the range of action, otherwise the situation will always be the same and endless.
Coldiretti Molise underlined that the goal is not to obtain only compensation for damage suffered by wild animals, even if it is a legitimate claim. Farmers themselves need to be put in the right conditions to work and produce for them and for the whole community.
