Wild boar emergency in the capital
A stance destined to be discussed. TO Roma the problem of wild boars is felt as never before. The media clamor is inevitable given that we are still talking about the capital, even if the emergency is not being addressed with the right seriousness by the municipality. An eloquent confirmation in this sense has been received in the last few hours, with one of the representatives of the Capitol to take the floor on the subject.
The words of the Municipality
Sabrina Alfonsi, councilor for the environment, explained what is happening with the ungulates as follows: “In this period the wild boars approach the city not for the bins, but in search of food. Many arrive in Piazza Mazzini looking for acorns, the food they seek most. The problem exists and it's important, but it doesn't concern waste, it concerns the increase of wild boars”.
Refusal cleared
He added: “Waste has decreased and with it the cases of wild boars overturning the bins. However, these animals continue to approach the cities precisely for the acorns: the wild boar population has increased considerably and the specimens are no longer able to find food outside the city. This is why they approach each other, as evidenced by the open ecological corridors that lead them to their foods par excellence. Females, this season, are pregnant and need food even more – he underlined – The problem exists and it is important. It's not about waste, but about the wild boar population which has increased considerably: we need to make them decrease. This is an important problem that must necessarily be resolved”
Be sure I didn't know that Rome were all Holm oaks and oaks, the wild boars which are animals but not stupid "far from it" they search for food at zero cost of effort where it is easy to find it; I think the commissioner has it as they say in Rome pine cones on her head, she has acorns on her head!!!
