Wilderness | How to save the Marsican bear by staying at home!
It seems a paradox, but the WWF, an association created to save animals at risk of extinction and founded by many hunters, put into the hands of the city's animal rights activists every year, invents one to negatively affect the life of the Marsican Bear, always anticipated by fundraising campaigns.
It seems a paradox, but the WWF, an association created to save animals at risk of extinction and founded by many hunters, put into the hands of the city's animal rights activists every year, invents one to negatively affect the life of the Marsican bear, always anticipated by fundraising campaigns. In view of the summer he is planning the usual volunteer campaign, practically encouraging people to visit the areas of the Marsican bear; please note, an animal that in order to save itself above all needs peace and "forget" man, since it has now "learned" to look for him to find his food in the vicinity not of the fields he cultivates (but then left in peace ) or from the shepherds' pens, but directly in the villages at the gates of the houses of man!
In fact, the annual WWF summer campaign seems to be a money-grabbing initiative "to save the Marsican bear". As if the bear needed the money! We read from the last press release: "WWF is looking for volunteers who care about the protection of the bear and are willing to give some of their time to carry out practical actions in favor of the species". That is, all works that it would be good for no one to put into practice if you really want the good of the bear. Here they are: "Public meetings, flash mobs, volunteer camps, distribution and assembly of recent electrified, awareness-raising initiatives aimed at children and adults, pruning and recovery of fruit trees, search for signs of presence, cleaning of underpasses along the main ecological corridors, fundamental for expanding the bear area ". Now let us ask ourselves: what are the “public meetings” for (to say what and to whom?); or "flash mobs" (protests against whom, if the authorities are always exempted from being the object of mobs?); the "volunteer camps" (to do that, apart from the young participants, to spend the summer holidays having fun with each other?); “Assembly of electrified fences” (why, given that they scare bears and drive them away from the food resources they search for?); "Awareness raising initiatives" (why, is there still someone in Central Italy who is opposed to the survival of the bear?); "Pruning and recovery of fruit trees" (why, after decades of such useless initiatives, are there still fruit trees that need to be cared for?); “Search for signs of presence"(For what purpose, given that, moreover, to search for them it disturbs the bear? - a small detail that should not be forgotten: this terminology was coined by the signatory of this press release!); "Cleaning underpasses" (underpasses of what? And then, the "ecological corridors", what the hell are they? "To expand the bear area"? But if the bear is expanding its living area by itself , given that he now lives distributed and DISPERSE in the middle of central Italy?).
How do you say, in cauda venenum: and here in fact, the WWF press release specifies that the appeal for the search for volunteers to implement the aforementioned program rather serves the volunteers to recreate themselves from the Coranavirus lock ("an excellent opportunity to return to nature", they wrote) and the WWF to attract donations to the sound of fees to be paid to register for volunteering. And then here you understand everything! Too bad that to save the Marsican bear it would take more peasants and more shepherds and, above all, less "volunteers" and tourists strolling through the woods and mountains of the Park to explode in the habitat of the bear, disturbing it. In practice, the WWF if it really wants the good of the Marsican Bear should launch only one appeal to its members, and not: if you want to help save the Marsican Bear, stay at home!
