Wolves, bears, deer, wild boars, otters, crows and crows: the list he talked about is really long Martin Cerantola, number one of Coldiretti Veneto, to sound the alarm about the damage caused to the local agricultural sector by wildlife. According to the president of the regional section of the association, in fact, it can no longer be denied that the balance between agriculture and the presence of all these animals, considered to be "devastating presences in our countryside". The bill that will have to be paid, moreover, is very salty, even over two million euros (these are farms, crops and vineyards damaged to be precise).
According to what was communicated by Coldiretti Veneto, then, the Third Council Commission has received three bills, one of which is from the Regional Council, to solve the problem once and for all. The aim is to make the regional strategy to support farms more rational and effective, struggling with faunal dynamics that turn into major problems for production and the environment, without forgetting personal safety.
Cerantola called for an elastic measure, more specifically of the extraordinary animal control measures. In particular, the proliferation of ungulates (primarily in parks) was taken as a perfect example to demonstrate how ineffective the current containment strategies. Further delays could aggravate the previously mentioned income statement.
