La CIA (Italian Farmers Confederation) entered with a "straight leg" in the question of wildlife, a 'chronic emergency of our country. The association has published an official statement to talk about ungulates and nutria that they put public safety and the agricultural sector at risk. The note reads as the problem has been reported for three years now and that the institutions have still done too little from a regulatory and operational point of view.
There will certainly be demonstrations in Umbria, Marche, Tuscany and Emilia Romagna. Furthermore, even the intervention of the Army is not excluded. The action of the soldiers is not a simple provocation, the animals have become ungovernable and we want to do everything to avoid mournful events, as happened in the past. The CIA has asked for immediate intervention by the institutions, as well as commensurate with the current danger: among other things, "with the arrival of summer the situation will have a physiological worsening".
The Confederation has monitored the territory, noting crops and breeding continuously under the threat of wild boars and wolves. The otters are not far behind, so the guard should not be lowered in any case. The press release concludes with the request for the timely activation of consultation tables with the government and the various regions, so that there are finally the right countermeasures.
