Moments of great sport at Olympic Table Foligno (PG) for the most popular among the amateur specialties of our sport. On the occasion of the celebration of the 2025 Winter Championship, the Umbrian facility welcomed 367 athletes of all Categories and Qualifications and 47 corporate teams, numbers higher than the previous year that signal the growing popularity of Compak Sporting among competitors and enthusiasts. This year's competition was characterized by excellent performances by all those present, which in more than one case determined situations of equality resolved only by the play-off rules. For the 2025 Season, the one to wear the laurel of victory in the top Category, as well as in the general classification, was Christian Camporese of Padua with 98/100, a score that until the last clay remained in perfect balance with that of the host Veniero Spada of Fabro (TR), also 98/100, who was forced to surrender only due to the rule of the chosen field. After completing the four scheduled series, the Umbrian World Champion was forced to give way, deserving in any case the second place and the second overall score. Completing the trio on the podium was Marco Battisti from Pesaro with a final total of 97/100.
The winners
In the Ladies classification, the one who shone the most was Katiuscia Spada from Fabro (TR), who graduated as Winter Champion with 94/100. She was followed by Veronica Bertoli from Gavardo, second place with 87/100 and Marlena Wroblewska from Vinci (FI), bronze with 86/100. Samuel Ligi from Fermignano (PU) won among the Juniors with 91/100, beating Jacopo Adamati from Rovato (BS) in the play-off, silver with 91/100, and Mattia Degli Antoni from Passirano in third place with 89/100. Marco Di Girolamo from Pontinia (LT) is the Winter Champion among the First Category, with a final total of 94/100, leaving behind Alessio Montanari from Russi (RA), silver with 93/100. Third in the play-off was Mirko Del Grosso from Montelibretti (RM), with 93/100. Francesco Baldoni from Macerata sewed the Second Category scudetto to his chest, thanks to his 98/100 which allowed him to overtake the second-placed Luca Scala from Cavriglia (AR) 96/100, despite the zero achieved in the last series. The bronze medal was awarded to Pasquale Rea from Volla (NA), who closed the competition with an excellent 94/100. Dominating the Third Category Classification was Roberto Centra from Terracina (LT) with 92/100, followed by Mirko Marchetti from Suvereto (LI) with a score of 90/100, a silver medal won following the play-off with the third-placed Federico Antonetti from Pontinia (LT), also on the podium with 90/100.
Other podiums
The Senior winter championship went to Mauro Bosi of Forlì, who became Champion with 95/100. Second on the podium was Claudio Germano Moretti of Rimini with 94/100, bronze medal for Manrico Sani of Vinci (FI) with 93/100. It was the Tuscan Carlo Sestini of Empoli (FI) who deserved the highest honors among the Veterans, concluding his test with 90/100, a result that allowed him to prevail over Giovanni Provenzale of Rimini, silver with a total of 88/100 and the bronze medal in the play-off Carlo Duranti of Fermignano (PU), 88/100. The Master champion was Alvaro Leardini of Morciano di Romagna (RN) with 90/100, also in this case winner in the play-off over Giancarlo Ciofini of Perugia, 90/100. Third place for Giovanni Zamboini from Gavardo (BS) with 81/100. As for the Team classification, among the Category teams, the trophy was lifted by the team of the home team from Foligno: Veniero Spada, Katiuscia Spada and Donatello Scotoni, who at the end of the race had a total final score of 279/300. The second step of the podium was taken by Mauro Bosi, Claudio Germano Moretti and Alessia Panizza, the team from Conselice, with the third step of the podium being the team from Tav Rio Salso, Giancarlo Ciofini, Francesco Bordoni and Tiberio Pochini with 265/300.
Medals and scores
In the Category teams, gold went to the Conselice team, formed by Francesco Baldoni, Alessio Montanari, Maurizio Caruso, Fabio Zampella, Mattia Degli Antoni and Alberto Versari with a total of 546/600. Silver for the home team from Foligno, Daniele Valeri, Marco di Girolamo, Gabriele Laurenzi, Emanuele Vescarelli, Bruno Roccasecca and Veronica Bertoli, second by just one clay at 545/600, while the performance of the Vetralla team is worthy of a bronze medal, 541/600 achieved by Davide Gasparini, Pasquale Rea, Mirko del Grosso, Filippo Ceccarelli and Alessandro Diamanti (source: FITAV).
