The ANUUMigratoristi updated, as happens every Monday, the weekly notes on the migration pass. Last year's climate in Brussels 14th December it appeared somewhat unusual. In fact, the temperatures seemed to herald the arrival of spring more than that of winter: the blue sky was very different from the foggy one of the Po Valley where the FEIN observatory is located. The weather conditions clearly influenced the presence of the Cesene in the last days of December.
As stated in the note of the association, in fact, the species moved from northern Europe towards the end of November with early snowfall and then interrupted its southward migration due to an anticyclone. The latter burdened the European continent and prevented the descent beyond the Alps.
These are the concluding notes on post-nuptial migration as far as the current season is concerned: some interesting flight is still that of the rock thrushes, while brambles, siskins have again deserted the skies of Lombardy. More continuous appearances have been those of flounder, blackcaps and robins, a bit like what happened to the song thrushes.
