Cases on the rise
La African swine fever has not yet been definitively defeated. This is clearly confirmed by what was announced in recent days by the Experimental Zooprophylactic Institute of Piedmont, Liguria and Valle d'Aosta. The total number of positive cases in wild boars rises to 1.883. They grow to 1.099 in Liguria, they rise to 784 in Piedmont. The outbreaks found in pig farms remain at 9.
New outbreaks
In Piedmont, a new positive case was observed among wild boars, in the province of Alessandria in Morbello (thirty-five in total). The total in the region thus rises to 784 cases. No new outbreaks have been reported in pig farms in Piedmont.
Other numbers
Seven new positive cases were found in Liguria: three in the province of Genoa, two in San Colombano Certenoli (six in total), one in Uscio (forty-four); four in the province of Savona, three in Albisola Superiore (six), and one in Savona (seven). The total in the region rises to 1099. The municipalities in which at least one positive case of African Swine Fever was observed remained stable at 183.
