Genoa (askanews) - The TAR of Liguria canceled the resolution with which the regional council had reopened the starling hunt to protect the olive crops that starlings feed on.
“We take note -said the regional councilor for agriculture, Stefano Mai- of the decision of the TAR which brings forward by ten days the final date of the withdrawal set for December 15th”.
"We hope - Mai concluded - that the bulk of the olive harvest has been carried out and we are sure that what has been implemented by the regional council has served to preserve a production that is fundamental for the Ligurian economy in a season of exceptional production in terms of quality and amount".
