An unsustainable situation
Two raids in the last two nights. The area is always the same: Tovo Faraldi, in the municipality of Villa Faraldi. Alice Ardoino, the young breeder who has already been talked about in recent weeks, can no longer cope either morally or physically: every morning she arrives at the pasture and she has to hope that in the night the wolves did not pass by. The last two victims were also pregnant, so the damage to a farm that breeds horses and ponies is manifold.
The CIA's comment
“Now I feel like I'm leaving them to the lions – he writes on Facebook – Tomorrow I'll close all the ones left above Tovo”. “The situation is out of control: – comments Stefano Roggerone, president of CIA Liguria – the valley where Alice is located is small and it seems that there is a pack of seven wolves roaming around, which is a lot for that area, and for this reason predation is easy”.
The request to Genoa
“The regional councilor for Agriculture Alessandro Piana has already been informed, now as CIA Agricoltori Italiani, together with the mayors of the area, we will send the request for the localized withdrawal to the Region as soon as possible. In this way we want to ensure that companies are no longer damaged and that wolves do not also become a public order problem, given that they are increasingly closer to homes" (source: CIA Liguria).
