For some time there has been an "expansion" of the spread of the wolf too in the Bolognese area, but "it is not dangerous for humans", as evidenced by the fact that "For decades there have been no attacks". So Raphael Persian, delegate for security and local police of the metropolitan city of Bologna, tries to reassure the citizens after the sighting of a small pack of wolves in recent days in Calderara, in the hamlet of Longara, in the lower reaches of Bologna. "The local police force of the metropolitan city will continue to ensure targeted surveillance and a control of the areas concerned - Persiano assures - collecting reports and, where possible, following the movements ".
The Bolognese territory is also affected byexpansion of the wolf, a phenomenon that "mainly develops along the most important river courses of hills and plains, as well as in other particularly wooded areas and, so to speak, quiet from the point of view of human activities".
After all, Persiano points out, "it has already happened (and will happen again) that some specimens can be sighted near homes or villages, especially in the evening and at night, as is the case for others. wild animals, such as foxes, porcupines or badgers. But the fact should not be too alarming ", recommends the delegate of Palazzo Malvezzi (DIRE agency).
