Woodcock hunting: A meeting is scheduled for Saturday 20 March 2010 in Città di Castello to discuss problems relating to the management of woodcock.
One of the collateral events to the Italian woodcock hunting championship (21 March 2010 - Città di Castello) is scheduled for Saturday 20 March 2010. It is a meeting-debate entitled "Wildlife management of woodcock hunting" to describe the situation of this bird species on the Italian territory and in particular on the Umbrian territory and to discuss all the problems relating to its management. The meeting, just like the championship, is organized by Arcicaccia and by Cssa (Sports and Activities Center for the Environment) of Umbria and will take place at 16.00 pm at the Service Center in Cerbara (Città di Castello) located in via Elio Vittorini 23.
The meeting will be chaired by the Regional President Arcicaccia Umbria Giancarlo Comastri and will be introduced by the wildlife technician Federico Merli. On the other hand, the President Beccacciai d'Italia Paolo Pennacchini, the Provincial President of FIDASC Gianpaolo Zandrini and the CSSA Regional President of Umbria Giorgio Filippucci will speak for the description of the state of the woodcock in the territory.
The meeting-debate will end with the intervention of the president of the Arcicaccia National Council Marco Cirafoni. The meeting is open to all and is configured as a meeting of great interest for all lovers of woodcock, but also more generally for all lovers of hunting.
