Burris establishes itself as a leader in integrated optical (or optoelectronic) systems by applying the revolutionary technology of the Burris Veracity Ph riflescope to the Xtr Ps models, designed for the world of tactical and long-range competition. This is the advanced Programmable Elevation Knob (Pēk) system combined here with the new HUD data center, integrated with the rugged construction and optical excellence typical of Burris.
The 34mm monoblock tube is machined from solid 6061-T6 aluminum. High-performance glass, combined with Hi-Lume multi-coated lenses, ensures superior clarity and light transmission. Two models are available: 3,3-18x50 and the more powerful 5,5-30x56.
The Pēk (Programmable Elevation Knob) system offers clickless, stepless turret adjustments with an ultra-fast, ultra-millimeter digital position sensor. Starting with the fast and repeatable Zero Click Stop, with an adjustment accuracy of 1/30th of a mil, shooters can achieve flawless bullet drop compensation, surpassing traditional 1/4th or 1/8th MOA and 1/10th mil adjustments. A full rotation of the Pēk provides over 19 mils of adjustment, allowing for even extreme distances.
Everything in the display
The high-resolution HUD (Heads-up display) integrated into the reticle viewer inside the eyepiece allows you to instantly view critical shooting data in eight customizable zones. The riflescope does not have a rangefinder; an external one is required for this purpose. Key to the HUD's intuitive dial-to-distance readout is its effortless target engagement from zero to the ranged distance, without complex ballistic calculations. The HUD also displays wind stability, wind speed/direction, a digital level, battery status, selectable units of measurement, atmospheric density versus altitude, and angle-of-sight compensation, updated in real time. Finally, the reticle illumination color (red or green) is also included. Competitive shooters will appreciate the innovative countdown timer, which ensures perfect course management.
Smartphones and apps
Using the Bluetooth-enabled BurrisConnect app, you can easily and intuitively create and load custom ballistic profiles for the Xtr PS, setting caliber, ballistic coefficient, and muzzle velocity. These profiles, with over 20 atmospheric density and altitude curves, are accessible directly via the riflescope's integrated controls, ensuring optimal performance regardless of environmental conditions. All soft-touch control buttons are highly intuitive and located on the left-hand parallax adjustment turret. Inside the turret is a space for the CR123A battery.
The illuminated SCR 2 FFP reticle, a Christmas tree-style reticle for accurate elevation and windage corrections, offers unparalleled clarity, precision, and reliability. It is positioned in the first focal plane. All turret and dial adjustments are very comfortable, and all indications are clearly visible, even on the display.
