A void that can no longer be postponed
The news that the Regional Council has once again decided to postpone the point regarding the approval of the new Regional Hunting Wildlife Plan. “A measure that has been awaited for over ten years – declared the Regional President of FIdC-UCT Marco Salvadori – long requested in the various stages of this legislature by our Association, precisely to fill a void that can no longer be postponed and to establish new strategies aimed at correct wildlife and environmental management, in a regional and therefore comprehensive vision, overcoming the old Provincial Plans”.
Collaboration spirit
“We cannot understand the reasons for these further delays by the majority of the Government of the Region, also in consideration of the complex and articulated process that will lead to a definitive approval of the document by the Regional Council”. “Our Association has long presented its proposals in a spirit of collaboration and constructive discussion with the competent department. For these reasons, we believe that postponements and delays are unjustified on an act that should substantiate the political will of the Regional Council and the majority on future directions and objectives in this matter and for the tasks entrusted to the ATCs”.
Legal certainty
“Our hope – concluded Salvadori – remains that of urging the Council to accelerate the process without further delay, also in anticipation of other decisive acts for the certainty of the rights of all hunters, starting with a rapid approval of the Regional Hunting Calendar”.
