Young Hunters and Club Piccoli Calibri 28 / .410, great success for the 3rd Polimeni Memorial held yesterday, Sunday 19 May 2013 in Sant'Eufemia di Aspromonte.
On Sunday 19 May, at the "TAVGppe Garzo" located in Sant'Eufemia di Aspromonte, the Young Hunters Association in collaboration with the "club small calibers 28/410" organized a amateur clay pigeon shooting competition "hunting course" in memory of Dr. Ferdinando Polimeni, an annual event on the association's agenda now in its third edition. The competition was divided into a first series of 25 targets, after which a second (“barrage”) took place, in which the first six competitors, who had totaled the highest score, were included. Numerous shooters (60 members) flocked to the competition, despite the climatic conditions that were anything but spring, with great satisfaction on the part of the Association. The race was held in an atmosphere of serenity and healthy competitive competition. The winner of the competition was Lombardo Carmelo with a total score of 45/50 targets, in succession there were: Spanò Domenico (43/50), Caponero Paolo (42/50) after a shoot off with Canale Alessandro (42/50) ), Valenti Antonino (39/50) and finally the young Dagui Giuseppe (37/50).
In addition to the awards for the top six, there were also the awards for the Young Hunters award, up for grabs only for GC members, which was won by the partner Pecora Giuseppe, and the Piccoli Calibri prize awarded by the competitor Spanò Domenico. Finally, the nice “Bumbuleddu” award, dedicated to the hunter who would have scored the lowest score, went to Ventura Mino.
The event saw the presence and participation, among others, of the FITAV Regional President Rocco Rugari. The day ended with the thanks of the son of Dr. Polimeni (Nicola) towards the Association and all those who made it possible for this event to take place.
