Rome, 31 Dec - “I will not stay here to comment on the conductor's words Flavio Insinna, convinced as I am that everyone is free to express their position on the issues they believe. Insinna is no exception as far as I'm concerned. There is a theme, however, which is unacceptable and must be strongly stigmatized and refers to the method used: Insinna took advantage of the certainly dominant position conferred on it at that time by the public service represented by Rai to attack, free of charge and without any adversarial action, the dignity of hundreds of thousands of paying Italians who deserve equal consideration and respect from the public service.
How do you think Insinna does not interest me, that you pretextly attack an entire category from Rai's megaphones, on the other hand, yes. Because Rai is also my home and it is unacceptable that it indulges in discrimination that damages my dignity and hundreds of thousands of urban and orbi people who are unable to enjoy the same stage.
This is why I join the parliamentary colleagues of the League who have presented a question in these hours to ask Rai for clarification. We expect them, all the more so in a delicate historical moment, in which hunters and hunters are under strong attack by the government forces, who would like to equate us with common criminals by attacking and tightening up the regulations in force. A dangerous and ignorant fanaticism, based on the lack of knowledge of the hunting activity and fueled by the conviction of being on the right side of history: a presumed ethical superiority that history itself rejects and does not recognize. I will not stay here to discuss what hunting is historically and what it still represents today, nor how much hunters can rightly be considered the best friends of nature and the environment with which they live.
I fight and will continue to do so, however, against the reckless attacks that ignorance produces and against those who unjustly and spuriously take advantage of momentarily dominant positions to discriminate against thousands of people completely free of charge ”.
This was declared by the MEP of the Lega Massimo Casanova.
