THETerritorial hunting area of Sulmona (province of L'Aquila) has announced an important provision included in the Abruzzo hunting calendar as regards the 2017-2018 season. This is the resolution of the ATC Management Committee which had as its object the Chapter E, points C and F of the same calendar, namely those dedicated to rock partridge hunting.
Point C provides for the recording of the slaughter of each rock partridge and the telephone or SMS communication to the ATC to specify personal data, blast chilling time and management district. Point F, on the other hand, speaks of the publication of the abatements on the IT platform of the Region, on the ATC website and by text message. The resolution was adopted to have a correct communication of slaughtered animals, taking into account the communication that the withdrawal limits have been reached.
The Committee considered it essential that the supervisory bodies and the ATC itself be able to check the downed head, making the telephone numbers of their commands available to hunters. Such an assessment can avoid misrepresentations that would risk being undetectable. The Area imagined that in some areas the limits could be reached in a few days with a few false and unverifiable text messages, a scenario to be avoided at all costs.
