CONARMI (Italian Armourers Consortium) has decided to reply to what was stated by Pier Luigi Maria Dell'Osso, Attorney General of the Republic for the district headed by Brescia. The latter gave an interview to Corriere della Sera, taking a cue from recent news events that took place in the Lombard province. CONARMI recognized as the security theme should remain central, even if the association is convinced that the average Italian considers it too simple the purchase of a weapon in the Brescia area.
The intervention of the Attorney has further amazed in this sense, given that he is a figure who should know well the regulatory context in which the companies of the Armory District. The greatest perplexity was aroused by a sentence: the Prosecutor believes that in the area where there are so many arms factories, obtaining guns and rifles is not that difficult.
CONARMI then underlined how in Gardone Val Trompia and its surroundings the same laws apply throughout the rest of the country. Furthermore, the citizens of Brescia are subject to the same checks and are not subjected to some privileged treatment. The Consortium then explained how the declaration was made on the spot, therefore in a poorly thought-out way, but certainly instinctive.
