Exa 2012: Excellent turnout of visitors with an increase of 20% compared to last year for this second day of the International Exhibition of Sporting, Security and Outdoor Weapons under construction at the Brescia Fair. Despite the rain, great success for the Field Test and cheering crowds for Renato Lamera's aerobatic shooting show.
Brescia 15 April 2012 - Also this year Sunday opened with the semifinals of the sixth edition of the Team Cup, the Federal National Shooting Competition, organized by UITS.
In the 10-meter pistol specialty, the Naples team managed to beat the Roma representative, winning the victory thanks to the last shot: Di Martino, Styanov and Forlani were thus able to defend the title won last year.
The Roman athletes Giacchetti, Micoli and Limardi gave their opponents a hard time for the entire duration of the race, touching the final victory. In the 10-meter rifle specialty, the Milan team won: the team made up of Sommaruga, Garofalo and Berardinetti cleared away the opponents of Appiano Bregenzer, Gambaro and Sparer from the very first shots, conquering for the first time the prestigious trophy.
After the awards ceremony, the shooting lines were accessible to the public, who in large numbers tried their hand at academic shooting with the support and advice of the athletes of the national team. In the next few days the facilities will be occupied by Fuori Uno, a competition with direct clashes between rifle and pistol shooters, and at the end of the day by visitors' free practice.
Among the consolidated and always appreciated events, this morning the EXA-Assoarmieri Trophy was also held, a challenge with 3 shots with a long gun with compressed air of limited offensive capacity and with 3 shots with a short weapon with compressed gas of limited offensive capacity, organized in collaboration with Assoarmieri. The Field Test was also very popular. Organized for the first time last year, on the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary, EXA has once again proposed this year the possibility for all the enthusiasts present to try the latest exhibitors' novelties.
This year the field test took place at the TAV Bettolino in Trenzano (BS), reachable in just 15 minutes with a free shuttle. Visitors were able to try their hand at hunting and in the American trap and try guns of different calibers with particular attention to the lightest, small calibers in great demand on the market. Over two thousand visitors fired at the Bettolino facility, assisted by the skeet shooting directors and the technical staff of the companies, who were able to illustrate the novelties being tested.
